Branden Aroyan
After surfing in twelve countries, Branden Aroyan’s photographs
illustrate the essence of experiences all around the world. In his
work, children of all ages see the waves unfold “from perspectives that
even a surfer could never actually experience first hand” (Longboard
Magazine).
Presently based in Santa Barbara California, destinations have included
France, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Hawaiian
Islands, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Western Samoa, The Philippines
and Tahiti. Internationally his work is published in The Surfers
Journal, Surfer Magazine, Surfing, Longboard, ASL Australian Surfing
Life and Surf Sessions. As well as slide show viewings for the Sierra
Club and The Surfrider Foundation, galleries can be browsed online at
Ocean.com, WetSand.com and RawTalentPhoto.com.
Brooks Institute of Photography Alumni of 1997 his clients include
Nissan, Billabong, Hurley International, On A Mission and Etnies. In
the summer of 1998 he interviewed the ASP Pro Surfing Tour in Europe
for Surfing Magazine. The 55 surfers photographed what inspired them
with disposable cameras. The article “Inspiration” appeared in Surfing
Magazine, August 1999 and lead the way to many others.
