Originally shot in High Definition, this documentary traces the history of sea otters since the onset of maritime fur trade in the mid-1700 up to today. A unique team of scientists from the US Geological Survey, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, California Department of Fish and Game, the University of California and the Monterey Bay Aquarium use cutting-edge technology to understand the threats posed to the sea otter population and what to do about it.
